Taif Ahmed

Managing Partner

Taif Ahmed is the Founder and Managing Partner of Grayoak Capital Partners where he leads the firm’s investment banking mandates across all its practice areas. He has 14+ years of combined leadership experience in corporate finance and capital markets, strategy, and business operations. He has also served as a Director of multiple corporate boards. His transaction advisory expertise spans sell-side and buy-side M&A, equity and debt capital formation, go public and reverse take-overs, debt restructurings and distressed divestitures. 

Prior to founding Grayoak Capital Partners, he served as a Vice President and senior investment banker for five years at a leading independent merchant and investment bank where he led the origination, structuring and closing of various corporate finance and capital raising advisory engagements focusing on emerging growth companies. During his tenure, Taif Ahmed has successfully partnered with private and public companies in multiple sectors ranging from software and technology to junior mining and regulated industries. Additionally, for select clients, he has taken interim executive roles in corporate development and finance to spearhead critical restructuring or transformative growth milestones.

Previously, he headed the corporate finance group of a large cap Canadian consumer goods company for four years with a focus on corporate level strategy, M&A and post-merger business integrations and has played a pivotal role in the development of enterprise wide organic and acquisitive growth initiatives.
